About the Role

You will be responsible for assessing geological conditions, designing ground support systems, and mitigating risks associated with underground and open-pit mining. Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed geotechnical investigations and site characterization for mining projects.
• Design and oversee the implementation of ground support systems for tunnels and mine excavations.
• Conduct stability analyses for slopes, waste dumps, and underground workings.
• Develop and implement seismic monitoring and risk assessment programs.
• Provide expert technical advice on geotechnical matters to project teams and management.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, with specific experience in mining environments .
• Proficiency in geotechnical software for analysis and modeling (e.g., Rocscience suite, GeoStudio).
• Strong understanding of rock mechanics, soil mechanics, and hydrogeology.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
