About the Role
Our client, a leading national charity, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Grants and Trusts Officer to join their dedicated fundraising team. This fully remote position is critical for identifying, cultivating, and securing significant funding from grant-making bodies and charitable trusts. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's funding strategy, ensuring the continued delivery and expansion of essential services to beneficiaries across the country. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the funding landscape and a passion for social impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential grant and trust funding opportunities aligned with the charity's strategic objectives.
- Develop compelling and persuasive grant proposals, applications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to funder guidelines.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with trusts, foundations, and their program officers.
- Manage the grant application process from initial prospect research through to reporting and acquittal.
- Analyze funding trends and contribute to the development of a robust, multi-year funding strategy.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in grant writing and fundraising, specifically with trusts and foundations.
- Demonstrated success in securing significant funding from major grant-making bodies.
- Excellent research, analytical, and written communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive narratives.
- Thorough understanding of the charity sector and its funding mechanisms.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage a complex pipeline of opportunities, and meet demanding deadlines in a remote setting.
