About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly proficient Senior Power Systems Engineer to join their globally distributed team. This position is entirely remote, allowing you to contribute to critical power infrastructure projects from your own workspace. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of complex power systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced analysis and simulation of power systems, including load flow, short circuit, and transient stability studies.
- Design and specify electrical equipment for power generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
- Develop and implement protection schemes and coordination studies to ensure system safety and reliability.
- Evaluate new technologies and methodologies for improving power system performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with international teams, utilities, and regulatory bodies to ensure project compliance and integration.
- Create comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and design documentation for project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in power system analysis, design, and operations.
- Proficiency with industry-standard power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
- Strong knowledge of grid codes, international standards, and renewable energy integration challenges.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for remote team environments.
