About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Chemical Engineer to join their dynamic team in London . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of chemical processes from conceptualization through to full-scale implementation.
- Conduct process simulations, hazard analyses (HAZOP), and risk assessments to ensure operational safety and compliance.
- Optimize existing chemical manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex process-related issues in a manufacturing setting.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in process engineering within the chemical industry.
- Proven expertise in process design software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and simulation techniques.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics , fluid dynamics, and reaction kinetics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and environmental health and safety standards is essential.
