Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and deploy advanced telecommunications network solutions, including routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent outages and degradation of service.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead the integration of new network technologies and equipment, ensuring seamless operation with existing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure network infrastructure supports application and service requirements effectively.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and support staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications network engineering.
- Proficiency in network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VLANs.
- Experience with network security principles and tools, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve intricate network problems.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS) are highly desirable.
