About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Telecoms Network Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust telecommunications networks that are critical to our client's operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring network reliability, performance, and security, contributing directly to the seamless flow of communication services. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage complex telecom network infrastructure , including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
- Implement and maintain network security protocols and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and optimize existing network solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications network engineering .
- Proficiency with network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and network hardware from major vendors.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis techniques.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles as applied to network infrastructure.
