About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Telecoms Network Engineer to join their dynamic team in London . Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage core telecom network infrastructure , including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Perform network capacity planning, performance monitoring, and fault analysis to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
Develop and implement network security policies and procedures to protect against cyber threats.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the network operations team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecom network engineering , with a strong focus on IP networking and protocols.
Proficiency with network configuration and management tools, and hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper , or similar enterprise-grade equipment.
In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, and VPN technologies.
Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
