About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Telecoms Network Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen, Scotland . Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and deploy robust and scalable telecoms network solutions , including routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement proactive measures to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective resolutions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and customer support, to ensure seamless network integration and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
- Stay abreast of emerging telecommunications technologies and industry best practices, recommending and implementing improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in telecoms network engineering , with a strong understanding of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
- Proven experience with network security principles and best practices, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Hands-on experience with network management and monitoring tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
