About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Sports Facilities Manager to oversee the operations of their premier sports facilities in Wolverhampton . This role requires strong leadership skills to manage staff, ensure the highest standards of maintenance and safety, and optimize the utilization of facilities for various sports and community events. You will be responsible for budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder management to ensure a seamless and positive experience for all users. This is a critical on-site position for an individual passionate about sports infrastructure and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of multiple sports facilities, including scheduling, maintenance, and event support.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of facility staff, including groundskeepers and administrative personnel.
- Ensure all facilities meet stringent health, safety, and cleanliness standards, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs and maximizing revenue streams.
- Liaise with sports clubs, governing bodies, and event organizers to meet their facility needs.
- Oversee maintenance schedules, repairs, and capital improvement projects for the facilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sports facility management or a similar operations management role.
- Strong understanding of sports facility requirements, maintenance, and health & safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Experience with budget management and financial oversight.
- Ability to work effectively on-site in Wolverhampton and manage operational demands.
- Relevant qualification in Facility Management, Sports Management, or Operations.
