About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Subsea Engineer to join their technical team in Portsmouth . This role is integral to the design, installation, and maintenance of subsea production systems. You will apply your engineering expertise to ensure the integrity, reliability, and performance of subsea equipment and infrastructure, playing a vital part in the successful execution of offshore projects in the Oil & Gas sector . Collaboration with project teams, vendors, and offshore personnel will be key to delivering complex subsea solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and specify subsea components, including pipelines, risers, wellheads, manifolds, and control systems.
- Develop installation procedures and strategies for subsea equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Conduct integrity management and risk assessments for subsea assets.
- Prepare technical specifications, data sheets, and interface documents for subsea systems.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases of subsea projects.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and propose solutions for subsea equipment failures or performance degradation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in subsea engineering within the Oil & Gas industry .
- Proficiency with subsea design software and analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of subsea hardware, hydraulics, and control systems.
- Experience with pipeline engineering and integrity management principles.
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, DNV).
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.
