About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified Subsea Engineer to join their team in Reading , playing a key role in the design, installation, and operation of subsea systems for the Oil & Gas industry . This position requires a strong understanding of subsea hardware, flow assurance, and field development. You will contribute to the successful execution of subsea projects, ensuring technical integrity and operational efficiency. The role involves close collaboration with various engineering disciplines, project management, and offshore installation teams to deliver complex subsea infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify subsea equipment, including trees, manifolds, and umbilical systems.
- Develop installation procedures and support offshore campaigns.
- Conduct flow assurance studies to ensure production integrity.
- Perform technical reviews of supplier designs and fabrication quality.
- Manage interfaces between different subsea components and surface facilities.
- Contribute to risk assessments and HAZID studies for subsea operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in subsea engineering within the Oil & Gas sector .
- Solid understanding of subsea hardware, principles, and installation methods.
- Familiarity with flow assurance principles and relevant software.
- Experience with relevant industry standards and codes.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for collaborative work in Reading .
